Special Guest for Orange Shirt Day

100 Mile Elementary hosted a very special event on Monday. We invited all the schools from the south end to attend our Orange Shirt Day. We were honored to hear from Phyllis Webstad herself, the founder of the Orange Shirt Society. Phyllis shared her story of having her favourite orange shirt taken away from her on her first day of Residential School just 50 years ago. The students were a sea of orange, signifying that Every Child Matters!
