Dear Parents & Guardians,

Welcome to the new school year! We are excited to have your child join us for an engaging and enriching school experience this year. The first day of school will have a slightly different schedule to help students and teachers get to know each other and to give us time to organize where students will ultimately be placed.

Here is an overview of the plan for the day:

  • Please send your child with a recess snack, but they do not need to bring any school supplies or their backpack on the first day.
  • Upon arrival, students will remain outside until the bell. Once the bell rings, students are to find their assigned teachers on the field.
  • Next, teachers will lead their classes on a walk around the field to start the year off in a good way. Students should stay with their class group during this time.
  • After the walk, classes will return to their original meeting spot on the field.
  • Students and staff will then enter the building and proceed to their temporary classes to settle in, play a quick game, and then head to the gym for our welcoming assembly.
  • Following the assembly, students will return to their classrooms to create an art project.
  • The final bell for the day will ring at 12:10 and students will be dismissed.
  • Thursday will be a full day, students remaining with assigned temporary teachers.

Class placements for the new school year will be finalized on Monday. Your child's teacher for the year will be confirmed at that time. Temporary placements can be found in the attached file and will also be posted in the courtyard.

This eased schedule will allow students to become familiar with their teacher and classmates in a relaxed setting on the first day. As always, please let me know if you have any other questions. We look forward to seeing you and your child on the first day!

Please note that the breakfast program will not be available on the first day of school and students are expected to remain outside until brought inside by their teacher after our check in on the field.

Warm Regards,

Crystal Dawn Langton,

Directrice/Principal
